WHy family sessions are so important!
There is nothing better then being able to look back on images 10 years down the road and seeing how much your babies have grown. Not only will you get to look back at those images later in life so will your grandkids. There's something so special to me when it comes to capturing these moments. As a young child I would constantly get out my moms photo albums and see old ancestors and want to know who they are and their stories. I cherish every single image we have of my grandparents and great grandparents as well as my parents.
Before your session!
Your family is like no other. Therefor I like to really get to know you before our session. I send out a detailed questionnaire to get to know you on a personal level. I like to get to know each persons personality as well as what you love to do together as a family.
One of my favorite questions to ask is..
What do you want to remember when you look back no these images 20 years from now?
Sometimes in life we don't stop and think what makes this season/year so special. Whether is be how little your toddler still is or how grown up they look from when they were a baby. Or are you the one always behind the camera and would like to be captured loving on your babies? If this question has you getting teary eyed that's okay! Me too.
Day of your session!
Sometimes we stress as parents over our family sessions because we fear the kids not cooperating or being too shy to want to show their faces. Don't worry! I promise everything will go as planned. I will get the kids involved in some candid shots to help them become comfortable in front of the camera. My goal is to capture each persons personality. We will also take a few posed photos .
Sometimes kids need a break and some time to run around! Don't worry, I have it covered. we will play games, have tickle fights and tell jokes!
Family sessions typically take an hour to capture. I will commit the time that is needed to ensure we capture beautiful images of your family!
After your session!
You're excited to see your images and wondering how long it'll take. Typically galleries are delivered 2 weeks after your family shoot. You'll view your proofed gallery where you can choose which images you'd like to have. You can pick the amount your package comes with, Purchase extras or the entire gallery! Once you've decided on your images, you'll let me know and be able to download your images within 48 hours!
